Edit, Feb 1st: Removed all the hyphens but the first stanza's.

This was written for the second prompt over at #transliterations. As per the prompt, the poem was based on this triptych:



1969 was when the draft lottery was put into place for the Vietnam War. Not sure what else there is to be said about this one.

I've come to the conclusion that proper grammar is a myth, which is why I couldn't seem to contain this poem in it. This may or may not be a joke, depending on how later attempts at revision go.

I think I overdid the hyphens. I liked how they worked in the first stanza, and the rest of the poem went in that mindset, but I'm wondering if it would be as effective without them...
