@deviantARTDeviation pages are one of the most visited areas of deviantART. With hundreds of millions of deviations to view, and 65 million people browsing the site each month, we want to ensure that navigating deviation pages is as seamless as possible, allowing visitors to get the most of their viewing experience.
What's new?
All deviation details, like an artwork's description, submission information, stats, and sharing options, now appear directly beneath the deviation. (When viewing your own artwork, the Edit and Delete buttons also appear beneath the art, so you no longer have to search the sidebar to find essential tools.)
The right-hand sidebar now focuses on items related to the deviation. The first item featured in the sidebar is More From This Artist. Thumbnails in the More From This Artist section have been made larger and are now based on an advanced algorithm that will surface work that is more relevant to the art currently being viewed, helping to bring more attention to you and your art.
Beneath More From This Artist in the right sidebar, you'll find More from deviantART results (formerly titled More Like This) and Featured in Groups, if that deviation has been accepted into any Groups.
We've been testing the new deviation page changes to logged-out visitors for quite some time and have monitored performance, making updates as needed to help further traffic to you and your art. When comparing old vs. new deviation pages with logged-out traffic, we found that visitors seeing the new deviation page were:
- 2.5 times more likely to click to view another piece of art by that artist
- 4 times more likely to click through to view that artist's Gallery
- 12 times more likely to view Prints by that artist

Rolling out changes on deviantART is always a big deal and we're well aware that any change we make -- especially to something as integral as our deviation pages -- affects millions of people. We've already been testing the new deviation page changes to logged-out visitors for quite some time and have monitored performance, making changes as needed to help further traffic to you and your art.
Powered by data and feedback from our logged-out tests, we're now ready to test new vs. old deviation pages to deviantART's logged-in audience. Testing two similar, yet different, versions of our deviation page will allow us to gather information and effectively compare which version performs better and is better received by the community.
By the time you read this journal, we'll have already implemented our new deviation page testing. When viewing deviation pages, you'll either see the new or old version. During this testing period, there is no way to switch from new to old, or vice versa.
