When he came to on the curb outside his apartment, Aruk couldn't recall what happened, or why he was half naked. His body was sore, and he decided to smoke the pain away. Hours later, he remembered the voices, in the middle of a high-induced laugh that dissipated as the memory resurfaced.
He didn't sleep at all that night.
60 words. An actual thing that happened in game early on that I fully expect is going to come back and bite Aruk in the ass again in the next session.
I'm reasonably concerned for him.
You and me both, especially considering the last session ended with him being drugged and carted off. So far, our bard has been reassuring in saying in our discord server that he'll probably want to go looking for Aruk, at least.
Yep, this is pretty much how cyberpunk works. Every job is a shit job. Aruk sounds like he leads quite a life.
The ironic part is that the contract each party member signed was to let them live out a year focusing on their biggest dream. The dream Aruk chose was being able to help people. So far, he's not only actively had to make things worse for some people, he's also made things worse for himself. To say he's regretting this whole thing is an understatement.
I wonder what could've happened. >,,,>
The campaign I'm playing him in is a cyberpunk setting, and he signed a contract before the campaign started that included a whole bunch of rules that none of us player characters know. Every time we break a rule, we find out the hard way, and this was one of those. P:
